I wish to power optimize the proximity example application, as my intention to make a find-me tag. So I may not need the lls and tps services. Is any guidelines for power optimization?
Thanks for the reply, I thought minimizing number of events when connected to a central device also reduce power consumption. I will go through the links provided.

The second question: I think the peripheral device may implement IAS service and/or Immediate Alert Server Application, and the IAS client may implemented on a central device (moble/PC). Could you please explain?

Thanking You,

The number of services and characteristics you have does not consume any current consumption. The affect on current consumption is decided by the connection parameters, and how often you actively let the application transmit data from the peripheral device to the central.

For estimation of current consumption based on connection parameters check out:
https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/nordic/power/

In general check out:
https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/nordic/nordic-blog/b/blog/posts/optimizing-power-on-nrf52-designs

For new development I recommend the latest nRF5 SDK and nRF52832 (nRF52-DK). There have not been any new development on the nRF51-series for a few years.

Best regards,
Kenneth
