Nevermind, I see the attached link below is for the latest docs. What I'm trying to do isn't supported until 1.2.99

I'm just testing this and it seems like if I put the pm_static.yml file in my application directory it works fine, however if I put it in APPLICATION_DIR/configuration/BOARD_NAME/pm_static.yml and then specify PM_STATIC_YML_FILE in the cmake command it does not work.

Is there a bug with the definition of the variable?

Here's the partitions.yml generated by SDK1.1 and SDK1.2. As expected, I'm missing mcuboot_storage and I see it's also missing mcuboot_scratch. Can I just use the old partitions.yml as my static config for SDK1.2?

Will do, thanks. What's the best way to write configuration parameters to that partition during production? Should I just generate a hex file with the structure I have at the correct address for the partition and flash it, or is there a better way to do that?

Yes, follow shibshab advice by hardcoding the partitions. Like it's done here.

Hi! You can use "static configuration" to provide the exact layout of the device in cases like these.

Looks like mcuboot_storage was removed from boot/zephyr/pm.yml

I'm still not sure how to fix this though.
