A while ago I started developing on the nRF9160DK but I found an issue that I do not know how to solve by myself.
I used two SIM cards: the one from iBasis and my personal phone SIM card, while using asset_tracker sample.

As I just replied to Heidi, using iBasis card I got it to connect to nRF Cloud finally.
Anyway, I guess this is the number you are asking for: 893108931810431377

Just tried the asset tracker again to show you the outputs on the terminal but, for once, it actually connected to LTE for some reason (it even appeared online on nRF Cloud) instead of showing the usual output, so I guess it is somehow fixed? As you said though, LTE Link Monitor UI is not reliable at all.

Thanks for your help, regarding the SIM card as well.

Regards,

So, I think to get some more information into your issue I will need to see the log output from when you're running the asset tracker sample.

To see what kind of coverage you're getting AT+CESQ will show you the RSRP value, and AT+CEREG? will show you the connection status of the UE.

The UI from LTE Link Monitor isn't very reliable, I would rather just look at outputs from the AT commands.

Note: to communicate with the modem using AT commands you will have to run an application that supports this, such as the AT Client sample.

Regarding the Telefonica SIM, I think you should contact them and ask about NB-IoT support. Yes, you need a SIM card that supports the protocol you want to connect with.

Best regards,
