The only NFC reader that we have drivers/library for in the SDK is the Adafruit PN532 NFC Shield. If you want to use another NFC reader, you will have to write/adapt the driver yourself.

Nordic does not make any devices with NFC reader integrated.

Hi,

The nRF52 series ICs has a NFC Tag peripheral only. A tag requires an external field generated by an NFC reader in order to transfer data. Since the nRFs cannot generate this field, there is no way to transfer data between two such devices.

We provide an NFC Tag Reader example in our SDK, which uses an external Adafruti NFC Reader shield, that you can check out.
