Your cellphone is most likely using the regular "4G" network and the network in your area allows roaming SIMs on that network.

(but does not support roaming SIMs on their NB-IoT network)

Hi Uchar,

You are not doing anything wrong.
Unfortunately, the iBasis SIM card is not supported in Russia for the LTE-M network. (different from the network that got you connected on the phone).

According to the GSMA official deployment map, only NB-IoT is supported in Russia.
So you need to get a SIM card from one of the carriers linked in the GSMA map.
