Since iBasis eSIM card does not support roaming in my country I got an eSIM of Emnify https://www.emnify.com/m2m-iot-coverage. The company's promises are to cover almost Word Wide and have a support for their eSIMs. But my Thingy:91 is still

RE: [Thingy:91] Emnify eSIM LTE network not establishing connection

To follow up on below: You can always check which operators supports LTE-M/NB IoT in your country on the GSMA map: https://www.gsma.com/iot/deployment-map/.

Indeed, so far we have not realized coverage in Bulgaria, the closest country where you could test LTE-M is Romania: https://ibasis.com/solutions/iot-connectivity/network-coverage/ ; However, given the current situation, that is quite difficult at the moment.

Kind regards,

One solution could be to use a callbox that simulates the network.
For now, just to check if the sensor data is OK, Bluetooth is OK. Would you please provide a tutorial for this case too, please?
What kind of tutorial are you asking about? An NCS specific? An nRF5 SDK specific? A BLE specific? Please specify.

Is it possible to set the modem to work with 4G or 3G network if the local Cellular operators does not support LTE at all?
No, that is not possible. The modem only supports LTE-M and NB-IoT. However, LTE-M is supported in both 4G and 5G, but there needs to be either LTE-M or NB-IoT coverage for your operator in your area in order to get a connection. I searched for Bulgaria in https://www.emnify.com/m2m-iot-coverage, and there was no support for LTE-M. Thus you need another SIM-card unfortunately. Check out these links to get a better overview of how it works:
2. What are the options to get sensor data without eSIM connectivity?
Another wireless option, if you're using the Thingy:91, is to use the onboard nRF52840 and get sensor data over BLE. But I assume the sensor data needs to get transferred over a long distance. In that case, you need a SIM card that supports either NB-IoT or LTE-M in your area.
