Look at the multilink examples.

You need 2 things:

to manage 2 connections simultaneously
when only 1 connection is active, to keep advertising so that the 2nd can be made

when 2 apps try to connect to the peripheral, the firmware crashes. What can possibly be the reason?

I am using iphone, i dont think it is related to the os. What parameter should inchange to maintain 2 ble connections on the peripheral?

I think this is just the way that the phone operating systems work.

You haven't said which one you're using, so you'll have go to the appropriate OS documentation & developer resources to find answers.

That part is nothing to do with Nordic.

At the nRF end, you would have to design your peripheral to support 2 connections ...
