the problem is solved.

When starts the bootloader, it sets the MBR page (0x7E) to protected state in the 'nrf_bootloader_app_start_final()' function.
I had to set this page to unprotected only.

As I guessed the problem is writing back the 'nrf_dfu_settings_t' struct. I do not know why, but I can not erase and write the MBR page (0x7e000). If I try to do, the watchdog resets the board (obviously the program runs to an endless loop).

But there is no problem to write the SETTINGS area (0x7f000), but it is not enough to update the firmware.

Why depends this from the SWD debugger?

have you got any idea?

Hi,

The typical reason for an application to only run when a debugger is connected is that you use semihosting. Is that the case? Please see this post.

I think the problem is in this line (of course, this is not the full code):

// write back this struct (to the MBR [0x7e000] area too)

the MBR and SETTINGS page has not written back, if JLink is not connected.

Why? 😕

thank you for your answer.
When JLink SWD is connected, I can see in the log, that the update process is working correctly (i.e. in the nrf_bootloader_fw_activate() function the case branch is the 'Valid app', so the app_activate() is called). But if I use my panel without any debug possibility, the update wont be success.
What does the JLink (or what do I miss) when it is lost its session after panel restart (I have to restart JLink quickly if I want to see the log)?

Hi,

You can debug the bootloader and place a breakpoint at nrf_bootloader_fw_activate in nrf_bootloader_init() in nrf_bootloader.c. You should see that app_activate() is being called insidenrf_bootloader_fw_activate().
