&lt;p&gt;Holding the IF BOOT/RESET button while powering up the board makes the interface MCU (Segger J-link programmer chip) on the board enter its bootloader mode. Resetting the board again, for instance powering off and on again, should get it back into the normal state.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In order to probe the status of the interface MCU, you can use J-Link Configurator (which is part of &lt;a href="https://www.segger.com/downloads/jlink/#J-LinkSoftwareAndDocumentationPack"&gt;J-Link Software and Documentation Pack&lt;/a&gt;.) With that, you can also upgrade the J-Link firmware on the interface MCU.&lt;/p&gt;
