Sorry for the slow response. I tried to reproduce this behavior with your application, but I do not get an ACK, as I do not have the CoAP server application that accepts and ACKs these packets. Can you provide that as well. I'm also not able to figure out how to trigger the unicast messages in your application. I can send multicast packets by sending a string over BLE NUS.

Could you see why I receive an "OT_ERROR_RESPONSE_TIMEOUT" in the response_handler while I receive the ack with the correct token and the correct message ID?

In this folder, there is my project (based on the example "ble_thread_dyn_mtd_coap_cli") and several files that I modified outside of the example (files "thread_coap_utils" and "pca10059")

Yes I'm using the latest SDK version (nRF5 SDK for Thread and Zigbee v4.0.0).

For my test, I added a new ressource (UART) in the exemple "ble_thread_dyn_mtd_coap_cli" to send the frame received fron uart to a specific Thread device (on the Thread network).

Hi,

This looks very similar to how it is done in the SDK. Are you using the latest SDK version (nRF5 SDK for Thread and Zigbee v4.0.0)?

If you can confirm this, I will try to reproduce it on our end.
