Please try to explain a bit more.

There is no beacon in the coexistence example by default. What exact problem are you having here? We'll need a lot more information in order to help you with this, as it originally seemed like you just wanted to read/edit an Eddystone characteristic.

I'm sorry Simon, I was not clear.

I'm using the coexistence example and I want to add the Eddystone Configuration Service to it. I've already tested the Eddystone example successfully.

I want to use both the mesh and the ble services features. So, if I add the Eddystone functions to the coexistence example, that allows to add the Eddystone configuration service but I'm not able to use the eddystone beacon from the Eddystone example because there is a confict between the beacon used in the coexistence example and the eddystone example.

In order to change the Eddystone URL, it seems like you have to edit the APP_ES_URL_URL define in the es_app_config.h header file found in C:\...\nRF5_SDK_16.0.0\examples\ble_peripheral\ble_app_eddystone\es_app_config.h. Please see the Eddystone specification for how to set the URL address to a custom link.

thank you for your reply. I think I wasn't clear. I already used the Eddystone example successfully. I just want to get the variable used in the software to contain the new Eddystone URL written in the characteristic value.

If you're looking to specifically edit the advertised Eddystone URL, I suggest you take a look at the simpler Eddystone example which was available in earlier SDKs. This will show you how to format the advertisement packet.

If you want to edit the beacon using the Eddystone Configuration Service in your app, please follow these instructions:

Connect to the beacon
Read Lock State characteristic. If Unlocked, go to 5.
If Locked, read Unlock characteristic to get 16-byte challenge
Write Unlock char by providing a 16-byte Unlock Code
Write slot number to Active Slot char. You may read it to check what slot is set. Usually this will be slot 0.
Write ADV slot data as you want.
Disconnect.

I've already tested beaconing example in order to implement Eddystone beacon. But it is a "static" beacon: for example, I'm not able to change che Eddystone URL.

I need to change the beacon and I added the Eddystone Configuration Service to use the feature available with the Eddystone Application.

How can I change the Eddystone URL instaed?

The Eddystone example is really not recommended to modify, as it is pretty complicated. If you'd like a deep dive into the workings of the Eddystone format and how to implement an Eddystone beacon of your own onto an nRF52 device, I suggest taking a look at this novelbits tutorial, which is a great tutorial on the Eddystone standard.
