Hi.

There is no problem using the nRF52840 Dongle in your end-product.

As for certification; As you mentioned you will need to go through atleast certification with BT SIG.
Exactly what certification you will need in addition to that, I'm not 100% sure. I guess it would also depend on if you are certifying the dongle stand-alone or if it is part of a different end-product.

I suggest that you confer with a test house or a certification-agency about this.

You are also free to use the UART service in your product.

the thought makes sense, but we need the NFC functionality. Is there a list of 3rd party certified dongles ?

Could you please give short answers to my questions above ?

just a thought, if You don't need the GPIOs, You could use an nRF52840 based, certified and ready to use USB dongle offered by 3rd parties...
