We recommend using the Zephyr host 😉

But, there are probably several open-source BLE hosts you can use.

But I don't have any knowledge about any particular ones.

For this scenario, are there options that Nordic recommend for this BLE host, or we have to build this from scratch?

Hi Lazar,

The link points to the master branch, where the nRF BLE Controller has changed name to 'SoftDevice Controller'.

Hi.

You can use SES to build nRF Connect SDK (NCS) projects, so you don't have to give up SES to use NCS.

While we only support NCS on the nRF53, you don't have to use NCS.

The nRF Bluetooth LE Controller is RTOS-agnostic, so you should be able to integrate it with your RTOS of choice. However, as the name implies, it is only a BLE controller, which means that you will have to use a separate BLE host.

In NCS we are using Zephyr's BLE host, which you obviously won't be able to if you are using FreeRTOS instead.
