 I have noticed ever since I updated my nRF9160 DK modem firmware to the latest version v1.2.0 frequent registration dropouts and very sluggish MQTT performance.

&lt;p&gt;you shouldn&amp;#39;t use modem firmware v1.2 with a Verizon SIM. Here&amp;#39;s the &lt;a href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/comp_matrix_nrf9160/COMP/nrf9160/nrf9160_operator_certifications.html"&gt;compatibility matrix&lt;/a&gt; that shows which operators are certified in which modem firmware releases. As can be seen from the table, Verizon is certified in v1.0.1, v1.0.3, v1.1.1.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
