I'm developing BLE functions using nRF51822 on top of the Android Kitkat applied device. I cannot find android bluetooth HAL source code that Nordic provides. Is there an android bluetooth HAL source code for nRF51822?
Thanks in advance.

RE: nRF51822 vendor HAL for Android Kitkat

Hi Allen,

I don't think we have anything to do with the "vendor extensions" on the Android BlueDroid stack. I believe it's more for the phone vendor than for us. We don't make chip that is inside the phone, usually you can find our chip on the peripheral side.

In our example apps, we simply use the Android Bluetooth APIs as described here.

RE: nRF51822 vendor HAL for Android Kitkat

Thanks for your answer.
Actually, What I need is "vendor extensions" source code described below link.
source.android.com/.../bluetooth.html

RE: nRF51822 vendor HAL for Android Kitkat

Hi Allen,

I'm not very sure I understand what is the HAL source code you mentioned. However, if you want to find Android reference source code you can have a look here.
You can also find them on our website here.

I would suggest you to get started with nRFToolbox and nRFUART app.
