Ok, I have tested with a 2.0.0 DK now, but I still don't see the same as you. Can you please test the attached .hex file?

In order to test it you need the nRF Command Line Tools, and use the commands:

nrfjprog -e
nrfjprog --program thread_cli_ftd_usb_pca10056.hex --verify
nrfjprog --reset

Does that hex file work as expected?

No way. I didn't place any breakpoint.
After building whole project, I'm going to debug and after clicking on Debug->Go this window shows up:

II click on "Yes" and debug should start but it's going on is the following:

Of course, system continuously runs into Hard Faulr if I press Run or Reset.

Hello Simone,

Does this mean that you are breaking (breakpoints or pausing the execution) before it runs into the hardfault? Can you describe in detail what you do before you run into the hardfault, and a screenshot of what your hardfault looks like?

Hi Edvin,

I did it but it seems like some example could be debugged and others not.
I also tried with nRF SDK v.16.0.0. in order to test some NFC examples and issue is the same: I'm able to debug some example but others runs into Hard Fault.

I didn't know that version existed.

Can you please try to unzip an unmodified version of the SDK and compile the project again? Perhaps you changed some common files from another project? It is at least worth a go if you have not tried it yet. In the meantime I'll check if I can get hold of a 2.0.0 DK and replicate.

I tested this example without any modifications on the nRF52840 DK now, but it doesn't hard fault (or run into any other errors either).

This pops up for me as well from time to time.

What DK do you have? What version? What does it say on the line beneath PCA10056? On mine it says
