Hi Jared,
There will come a modem firmware with the features (GPS improvements ++ etc.) as seen in 1.2.x branch and then some with the Verizon certification, but as of right now that is not released.
As you mention there is a lot of testing, time-consuming, etc. when certifying modem firmware.

Thanks for the answer Martin. I figured as much.

Just as Joshua had mentioned, that means feature added in 1.2 will never be available? (For example %XANTCFG) I did notice that Verizon was initially on a 1.0 path and now its 1.1. Thus my wondering if they're go to the next Minor version. I do realize there's a bunch of testing involved in doing that.

So you are saying that the 1.2 will never be certified for Verizon so we will be unable to take advantage of the GPS and LTE-M improvements if we are using the Verizon network?

Hi Jared,
Verizon will not be certified on the 1.2.x modem firmware branch, so if you are planning to use Verizon I recommend using the 1.1.x branch.

I would also like to refer to what the numbers represent in the revisions.
