1) i'm not an expert but i think you need to reset boards to use them with your application.

2) i've never test to program dongle with provisionner code so i can't tell you.

As i said, i'm not an expert but to my experience, when my boards were provisioned by an app i couldn't see them with another one. So your app has to contruct a network where to put your boards which are not provionised by another app

my question is how do I connect my application (the one i developped) to the mesh network? is this possible?

Can I use a nrf52840 dongle as a provisioner? I tried to flash the dongle but I have some errors, the flashing didn't succeed.

To put boards with BLE Mesh in the same network, you need a provisioner. As you could see on the "Light switch" folder, you can see a provisioner code, but you need a third board to do that.
As you only got 2, you need this app and your phone to do it.
When a board is provisioned, you can't see it with another app but don't worry you can reset the node with nRF Mesh app to make him free from the network to put it in another one.

Isn't there another way to put the two boards in mesh without using the application?

Is it possible to connect a smartphone with a third party application (developed by myself) on this network after the provisioning has been done?

You have to use nRF MESH on your phone to do the provisionning.

When you program boards with BLE Mesh, they don't have any network so they can't communicate with each other.

Hi,

Thank you for your quick answer.
Everything is going well with SES studio, I'm able to target and flash the boards!
I've already tried that, one board as a client and the other as a server but when I run them, nothing happens.

Is there anything to change in the code?

Hi !
To begin with mesh, i recommend you to program Light switch example on your two boards ( one with client example and the other one with server one).
What's your problem with SES Studio ? Do you have issues when targeting the board or when you program it ?
