Range depends on a long list of things, and which receiver you're using.

I can throw out a number, let's say 20 meters at 0 dBm output power, but it would likely be wrong, depending on what environment you're testing in and how your antenna radiates.

In theory; 6 dB gives a doubling of range, but in real life, I would recommend that you test.

Yes, it has an impact on distance. By lowering output power, you are also lowering the signal strength.
