Daniel, Sorry for not coming back to you sooner. It is now holidays time in Norway and the expert in this seems to be away. The patch you made makes absolute sense to me, and I think you can go ahead to use it in your product. When I get an answer from Frank, I can get back to this thread to update his comments.

The patch makes sense, but I will ask the expert to take a look at this tomorrow. I will come back to you when I have some feedback.
