I deleted everything and started from scratch with a clean project. It seems to have fixed it! Was probably something strange in the build folder.

Hi,

It is not possible to build the OpenThread examples in NCS with SES, this is mentioned under known issues in the release notes.

How did you try to build the examples with the command line? I tested this yesterday with west, and it worked as expected. If you tried building with SES first, please make sure you delete any build folders first.

Yes, as mentioned in the index page of NCS v1.3.0 documentation:

Note:

nRF53 Series devices (which are pre-production) and Thread, Zigbee, and Bluetooth Mesh protocols are supported for development in v1.3.0 for prototyping and evaluation. Support for production and deployment in end products is coming soon.
