No, this is not the correct repository.
When downloading code for development, please use our official github pages https://github.com/nordicsemiconductor/ / https://github.com/nrfconnect / https://github.com/nordicplayground

Have you downloaded the nRF5 SDK? The example documentation I referenced in my previous reply is in regards to the nRF5 SDK.

Please let me know if you no longer require support for this issue.

Have you seen the BLE proximity peripheral example from the SDK?
It demonstrates the functionality you describe.
