I can report this as a bug in nRF Connect app (the state should be cleared).

Thank you for your inputs.

I have one more observation. Below is the sequence of steps I did.

1) Assume connection established and Notification enabled in nRF Connect app (Client).

2) From nRF app I will disconnect.

3) Without closing, I will click on 'connect' with in few seconds.

4) Connection will be established and also Notification is enabled by default.

Because of this, though Notification is enabled in nRF app, this is not know by other device. Because of this Notifications are not sent by other device (Server) to nRF app (Client).

Hi,

It might be technically possible, but it not good practice to do this, since the peer may receive a notification from unknown origin and the peer may not understand what/why it has received a notification without first reading the GATT database and enable the notification in the first place.

and the statement

Can you please let me know whether this will work.

It's only possible with bonding.
