Hello William,

Our driver team said that we don't have anything specific for Windows XP. What we have is found here:

https://github.com/NordicSemiconductor/pc-nrfconnect-launcher/tree/master/build/drivers

And it can be used to tweak to work with Windows XP. This was not something we intend to develop, and I don't know what changes it would take to work with Windows XP. Since it is deprecated (Windows XP) I don't even think I will find a computer with Windows XP to test on.

that would helpful if you could take one minute to help to check if we have such driver for xp, at least I can have answer for customer;

and I would give my dilemma to RSM, see what they can do for customer.

Windows XP? That OS has not been supported for many years (2009). I doubt that we have anything for that if what we already have isn't working.

If you insist, I can double check this, but it has been six months since I last looked into this. I don't really remember who I spoke to the last time, and I doubt that they will write anything for Windows XP. If the customer is big enough, I guess you would have to go through the sales channel to convince our management that this is something that we need to do.

update about the driver problem below.

for window7, most of the computer can install our driver(because of the .inf lost problem).

another problem now we are facing is, for end customer in hospital, most of the computers are window XP, can we update our drivers and provide it to the customers?

Thank you Edvin, i have tried many other window7 system, some of the system can work with our driver,some of the system can't, so there must be some system file missing, so can our supports team give the dependent file that our drive need?

I don't have a windows 7 computer to test on, but I have found two cases that may be similar:

Have you seen the last commens in this thread?

"If i install 'nRF Connect USB CDC ACM' after installing nRF Connect for Desktop like attachment, it work normally."

And:

"Nordic driver .inf files are provided with .cat files that sign them. As long as they are in the same folder, they should work and windows should recognize them as signed drivers.

usbser.sys is provided by Windows, if it is not present then some WIndows updates might be missing."

Did you place the .cat file next to the .inf file?
