I have the same problem with sdk10.0.0... How have you solve it? I have put in the chip softdevice s110 8.0.0, and HRM_with_df is correct?! Why chip restart as Nordic_HRM and not as DfuTarg?! Thanks regards Enrico

Thanks, Aryan! i resolved this problem with my friend's help.My button conflicted with my bootloader.But now,i face a new problem again:i update nodirc sample successful with dfu,but can't update my firmware successful.The DFU APP log as follow: [DFU]connection failed(0x81):GATT INTERNAL ERROR

sounds like the dfu procedure has failed, did you check for any errors, is it the same if you do a hard reset on the board?

Thanks! i found the reason for failure,beacause code is too big.But now,i face a new problem:when i update firmware,it workwell with new firmware.then,after power restart,my device was advertising as "DfuTarg" again not running my new firmware.

Please use the latest SDK, you are using too old SDK. I am not sure if there are issues with the DFU in SDK 6.2 but if there is not particular reason to use that, it is not worth debugging.

I don't know the answer but suspect that the first question for you will be about SoftDevice version you are using, type of compiler and bootloader

Application with DFU Service support

This page describes how to include and use the possibility of including the DFU BLE Service into an application so that Bootloader/DFU mode can be automatically entered. After entering Bootloader/DFU mode then a DFU Over-The-Air update can be performed.

An example application based on Heart Rate Application has been created for testing this feature. The project file for this example is located together with the existing Heart Rate example.

The source code and project file for supporting BLE DFU Service can be found in the \Nordic\nrf51822\Board\nrf6310\s110\ble_app_hrs folder.

Open the project file ble_app_hrs_dfu.uvproj with Keil for testing and examine the BLE DFU Service functionality in a BLE example. Testing

The DFU BLE Service support Heart Rate Application can be tested using the Master Control Panel as follows:

Compile and program the application. Observe that the Advertising LED is lit.
Connect to the device from Master Control Panel (the device will be advertising as 'Nordic_HRM'), then perform service discovery. Observe that the Connected LED is lit, and the Advertising LED is off.
Enable 'DFU Notifications' by writing the value '0100' to the cccd in DFU Control Point.
Writing 'Start DFU', i.e. the value '01' to the 'DFU Control Point'
Notice that the connection to the BLE device is lost. Will write 'SERVER: Received Link Loss' in the log window
Press 'Back' in Master Control Panel' to enter the 'Discovered devices' overview.
Clear the discovered devices and 'Start discovery'
Verify that the device is now advertising as 'DfuTarg'
Perform a DFU update with any test image or application you like

i failed at step 8:the device is now advertising as 'DfuTarg',my device is advertising as 'Nordic_HRM'.
