Hi!

Could you do a nRF Sniffer trace of the connection, without resetting the board when it gets stuck? Hopefully we can find some anomalies there.

Hi,
I sent you the capture log from serial channel.
With this code, when lock occurs, after HW reset of DK board reset the advertising starts but I'm not be able to re-connect the device.

Sorry for the delayed reply. I have not managed to figure out this issue and will require some time to check internally with others. In the meantime you can try to induce the error again with the follwing .hex file. I've enabled more verbose logging on the BLE side.

Carl, I'm sorry, but the file you sent does not have difference on serial output... I see same as previous sample...

Thank you! It seems like the application enters a state where it is locked in connected mode.
I agree that the log was uninformative, but that could be because debug is not activated.

Could you flash the following .hex file and try again?

I'm using nRF Connect 4.24.3 (the last available on Google Play), the DK kit (model as sent before) and the Blinky Example of nRF5_SDK_16.0.0_98a08e2.
I lock the device with half-minute of test.
The log here attached (but I think that is not helpful...)

Perhaps it will help you, when the issue occurs, the connect led is always ON

A log from the nRF52840. The sample outputs debug messages over UART that can be read using a serial terminal. These can be very helpful to determine what's wrong.

In the meantime, do you have the opportunity to provide a log of the operation? Just use a serial terminal like termite or the likes of it.

The newest version is of the nRF Connect Android app is 4.24.2. Could you try to update, if possible?

And could you give me the hardware version of your PCA10056 development kit? It is located on a white sticker on the board. (see picture)

I see. I tried to do it as you described, but the error did not occur. Could you also say which DK version you use, as well as the nRF Connect app version (though I assume you use the most recent one)? This way I can be able to reproduce the configuration as accurately as possible.

Hi Carl, I tried many times using HUAWEI P20 Pro phone with Android 9, but I tried some times also with other phone such as Motorola, Oppo, Samsung...
Please, take note that you must very quickly connect/disconnect/connect... leave a little pause then quickly connect/disconnect/connect...after few pauses the issue occurs

When error occurs, the device in not discoverable even for other phones

I tried to reproduce the error using the same configuration as you, but did not manage it. Could you please reveal what phone and Android version you are using?
In addition, could you try to induce the error and then see if its possible to connect with another phone (just in case, too see if it could be an error with the application),
