I plan to buy the development kit from Nordic but I had a couple of questions:
1)I know that in a previous question I posted I was told that I can use the development kit to flash other chips. I was really curious as to whether there are

RE: Using the nrf51822 development kit

Hi Mad,
you can try BLE DEVKIT.N main board. It will power your development kit and also will allow you to develop and test further. There is variety of options which you can use with the board, like USB, Battery or external.

RE: Using the nrf51822 development kit

I just wanted to confirm all this before buying since I would rather be careful than be sorry later. To do this, you have to route at least the SWD interface and VDD/GND to a header, to which you can connect the J-Link, and your board have to run on ~3 V.

The other question you see covers what's needed to run the board standalone, and the SDK installation question has been covered separately here. It's much easier when questions are posted separately, instead of mixing them in the same thread, since the latter makes it hard to see what has been answered and not.

You will have access to the same software, no matter if you use the Evaluation Kit or Development Kit. This question also covers the differences.
