Just a few minutes ago I finally managed to get it to work.
Thank you for all your help.
Suspiciously the only thing different I did this time was to send an email to the person who I think could have registered in his account.
In addition, for the first time I also managed to see LED3 and LED4 blink at the same time. Never seen that before, even when I was playing with the first board

I will leave you alone now :-)

I understand better. However, given that I have two DKs and so two iBASIS sims and I have one DK working fine with nrfCloud, I tried both sims on the working board and it all works both times.

From that I will conclude that both my sims are working. So I am not sure how creating a new ticket is going to help me.

Sorry for the confusion.

Please open a new ticket regarding the iBasis SIM. That is out of scope for this ticket regarding the connection to nRF Cloud.

Keeping on with this ticket, you will need to open LTE Link Monitor again and then look at what is printed in the output.

If both LED (LED3 and LED4) are blinking, and the output states:

Then login to nrfcloud.com and click add LTE device. Once connected, only LED4 will be on and static.

If only LED 3 is blinking, that means that it is still connecting to the network. Please ensure good coverage.

Please help me out as I am now totally confused.

I opened this new ticket yesterday so that I can get the 91DK to talk to the nrfCloud.

Which question, should I open a new ticket for?

No, please try to login to nRF Cloud and add the device. Make sure that the IMEI and HWID are correct. LED 3 blinking sounds correct.

Also another thing. When I started with this DK I had to snap the sim from the card which means the iBASIS sim had never been used and yest the portal tells me that 0.14MB has been used so far even thought I have not been able to get the DK to register.

The sim iccid ends with 8968

Do you wish me to create a new certificate and load into the DK or just power it on?

If it is just power it on, then I have done that and all I see is a blinking LED3 now.

Perhaps I need to start from scratch for that device. Please advise.

My goal is to get it to work and then have one on CAT-M1 and the other on NB-IoT as it seems my area has both coverage

Thanks for the information! I have talked to one of our developers with access to the nRF Cloud database. He noticed there were two certificates registered to the IMEI. You should be able to reconnect now and register. Can you please try?

I am not sure if it has been used by someone before because it was given to me with the anti-static bag seal broken. I have no idea who will have used it before.

I would like to add that before loading the asset tracking firmware in the programmer application I had clicked the erase button on the right which is one thing different step I did for the first 91 DK that is working for me.

Perhaps I may have inadvertently deleted the IMEI and HWID to a default value?

Is there an AT command to interrogate the modem to extract the IMEI and HWID as per the printout on the label?

This is an issue we shall resolve.
