Hi,

I see that there are multiple possible sources from the function declaration on Github that can return an error. I suggest setting a breakpoint in the function and stepping through it and see exactly what error is returned and from where.

the error is in this function : rslt = bme680_set_sensor_settings(set_required_settings,&gas_sensor); provided by bosch, but I think the error should be in my write function so I call set_reg() to force two register to be written by me and then the program works. But I don't really know why the initialisation doesn't work...

What initialization and what register are you referring to? Could you point it out in the code that you posted?

I find that the error is in the initialisation a register is not written so I force it in the main with a function set_reg and it works but I Don't know why the initialisation is'nt working.

But you've checked that the data is sent correctly from the sensor?

The initialisation Work perfectly but when I want to read the data The values Don't change.

Hi,

How does the SCL and SDA line look like when you write to the slave? Do you see a valid Clock signal?
