Yes, it uses the Node.js wrappers for pc-ble-driver (pc-ble-driver-js). You can see the available modules for application development on this page.

If you want to use a ready-made application with a user-interface, the latest release of the Bluetooth Low Energy application in nRF Connect for Desktop supports switching between 1 and 2 Mbit PHYs:

As I'm primarily an embedded developer - rather than a PC developer - that would probably be the way I'd go, if I were doing this myself.

It really depends on where your skill/experience/comfort zone lies ...

Thank you very much sir for your reply. We will immediately give a look at what you are suggesting. We were also evaluating this

\examples\ble_central_and_peripheral\experimental\ble_app_att_mtu_throughput

so to use the host code running in an evaluation board and replicate the device code in our device (may have your opinion about it? it seems to be a plausible way to go too).
