We have the issue that GPS has no fix.(board: Thingy91 version: 1.0.2) I used the pre-compiled hex thingy91_ltem_dfu_2020-04-29_bc7ade8b.hex downloaded from Nordicsemi website and latest modem firmware mfwnrf9160120.zip. It always tracks the satellites

RE: Thingy91 GPS not fixing

Hi Face,

There is no known problem and I am not able to reproduce the situation unless i am somewhere close or inside a building where there is little to know gps coverage.
4 satellites is needed to get a gps fix and it can take 0 - 5 minutes before the fix happens if it is tracking 4 satellites.

I would recommend testing in a place that is open whit no tall buildings around so that the device has clear view of the sky.

Here is a link to a website that shows where the satellites are, so you can get an estimate of how many you should be able to track approximately.

Are you outside or when testing? To get the best result would recommend going outside when testing the GPS.

Regards,
Jonathan

RE: Thingy91 GPS not fixing

HI Face.
