The error comes from m_coms_init() which is called on line 163 in m_init.c. Looking into it it probably comes from within m_coms_ble_init() which is called on m_coms.c line 1461. m_coms_ble_init() is a loong function though, so it is difficult to know what could be the problem without debugging. Can you use a debugger to narrow down which function returned the error code? Also, which modifications have you done to the reference design firmware?
