I would like to switch on a led of a nrf52840 dongle by pressing the buton of another dongle. I don't know which example to use from SDK 17.0.2 to make a master/slave relationship and solve my problem. I'll take every leads or clue that put me

RE: How to switch on a led of a dongle by pressing the button of another dongle nrf52840

Hi

I don't speak French very well, but I ran this through Google Translate and I think I understand what's going on. First off, the LED and button on the nRF52840 Dongle is connected to different pins than on the DK, so you have to configure the LED and button pins correctly in the blinky example. Note that if you use another IDE than SES you have to flash the SoftDevice onto the Dongle as well.

Best regards,

Simon

RE: How to switch on a led of a dongle by pressing the button of another dongle nrf52840

Thank you for your prompt response.

I followed your advice, however I have the impression that the dongle does not take into account the example ble_app_blinky_c whereas I changed in preprocessor option, BOARD_PCA10056 to BOARD_PCA10059. When I plug in the dongle I see a single flashing of LED1 (green led) and then nothing.

I don't understand what I did wrong.
I tried to reprogram the blinky example for PCA10056 to work on PCA10059 and I succeeded, but with the ble_app_blinky_c example it doesn't work.

Thanks for your answer and sorry for my shortcomings

Please check out our ble_app_blinky and ble_app_blinky_c example projects in our SDK that do exactly this. Keep in mind that the central example has not been ported to fit the nRF52840 Dongle, but this can rather easily be ported to fit the Dongle if you follow our Dongle Programming tutorial.
