There is no permanent fix for this I'm afraid. You could create a new shortcut which has the setting permanently set: Navigate to nRFgo Studio folder under Program Files/Nordic Semiconductor. Create a shortcut to the nrfgostudio.exe (rightclick->create shortcut), edit the shortcut and set Target to: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Nordic Semiconductor\nRFgo Studio\nRFgoStudio.exe" -nodefinitionupdate.

Hello! Is there a permanent fix for this? I have the same problem with v1.21.1: I can call nrfgostudio.exe -nodefinitionupdate from the command line, but that is the only way it works. Nothing happens when I double click the icon. I'm running the 64bit version on a Windows 10 machine.

@andlier The only thing I can think of is that since Studio v1.19 is not compatible with nRF Tools >= v7.5, make sure to use Studio >= v1.20.

I'm having the same problem, but starting from the commandline with -nodefinitionupdate doesn't help, any other ideas? Already tried reinstalling a few times etc.
