&lt;p&gt;This has been asked quite a few times previously on the DevZone, please check out&lt;a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/f/nordic-q-a/58927/unix-time-with-rtc"&gt; this thread&lt;/a&gt; where my colleague and another DevZone member explain this in detail. You can also check out &lt;a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/f/nordic-q-a/64611/implementing-64-bit-epoch-time-using-timer"&gt;this thread &lt;/a&gt;for alternatives to epoch.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;These errors point towards these files not being added corectly to your project. Have you downloaded the &lt;a href="https://www.nordicsemi.com/Software-and-tools/Software/nRF5-SDK/Download#infotabs"&gt;nRF5 SDK v16.0.0&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;and added the nRF Calendar example to the &lt;em&gt;/examples/peripheral/&lt;/em&gt; folder?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Please also make sure that these files are included to your project. If you&amp;#39;re not sure how to do this, please tell me which IDE you&amp;#39;re using, and I&amp;#39;ll show you how.&lt;/p&gt;
