@Nishant: Yes, I am curious about the issue with the standalone nRFUart app that you're having. I suspect it simply on the way the data is displayed on the app (convert from byte array to UTF-8 string).

@Hung: You took it otherwise, I was talking about the oldest nrFUART app and not the ones that come today embed within the control panel and toolbox these all work fine.

@Nishant: I'm actually the guy who wrote nRFUARTv2 :D I haven't heard of any problem with this, strange that you have an issue with it but not the other app. If you can provide a screenshot of that when receiving and displaying wrong data, and a sniffer capturing the process, it would be great.

@Hung: It's working alright now ,seems like the old nrfUART standalone app had some problem, once I used the uart app from the nrf toolbox and read the characteristic, other nrf uart apps like the uart app from control panels working fine too.havent tested with old nrF uart app. that seems like obsolete anyways.

@Hung: I tried out with the nrf Master control panel and it shows ASCII values if I send char in lib_aci_send_data method, so I think I'll say its working fine, now to test the receiving BUT still there retains a mystery that why it is not working with nrf Uart app as wellnas the nrf toolbox uart app ?? Why??

@Hun : David is the one who helped me port the Arduino library for nrf8001 to Atmel studio which was working all finw on atmega328p and now the atmegatmega1284p was also made to work by me yeaterday with the heart rate profile example but uart example isn't working fine, the xml is having now the uart characteristics and all is fine despite the receiving wrong stuff which I don't actually send.

I'm going to try sending what you just told me and get back to you with results.

@Nishant: I have to admit that I don't have much experience with nRF8001 and AVR, but which library did you use. Have you tried the Arduino SDK for nRF8001 ? I was suspecting that the nRFToolbox may interprete it to heartrate value so it may be incorrect, but as you said it's the same with nRFMaster Control Panel.

Endianness could be the problem here. Could you try with the following value and let me know the result: 127 - 128 - 129

again if I send 25 in variable char then I get @ that's 0x40 Hex ??
