Good question. And you are correct and have a revision 2 IC. The '2' instead of '0' means that, due to a production error, the HWID found on your IC does not match the HWID listed in the table.

Martin Børs-Lind, I was looking on Compatibility matrix pdf, but I'm not sure which version of chip I have.

I ordered this product www.rutronik24.com/.../4672520.html

On the chip is written N51822 QFAAG2 1435DC

From this I can deduced that I have Gx0 build code?

Thank you Nguyen, Martin and Aryan You have pointed me in the right direction, it seems when I "select device for target" the memory size is correctly changed from 256K to 128K but the start address field is changed from 0x18000 to 0x0, changing this back to 0x18000 allows the software download to proceed correctly.

everytime i get that error, i do "nrfjprog -e" on command line and first program the softdevice and app, it mostly helps. If it doesn't like Hoan said your flash sizes aren't right in settings and the Keil is trying to overwrite the softdevice when you try to flash the application. There are safe guards in the flash algorithm that nordic provided for Keil that will not allow it.

It seems that you device is using the 128KB version. All the examples are based on the 256KB version. You may need to adjust the Flash size to see if it fits.

Hi. No, it should not be necessary to change the device type. All our bluetooth examples are compatible with both nRF51822 and nRF51422. So try to run the example "as is" and see if that helps. The only difference between the chips is that the nRF51422 has ANT capabilities in addition to BLE.
