However, that will only work if there is a valid application exists on the device. The app may, for instance, have been erased as a part of a single banked DFU (<a href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/sdk_nrf5_v17.0.2/lib_bootloader_dfu_banks.html#lib_bootloader_dfu_single_bank">process illustrated</a>). In such cases, the bootloader will have no choice but to stay in DFU mode, and the user will have to complete the DFU process in order to recover the device.</p> <p>Does the vendor of this device provide a way for you to perform an over-the-air DFU?
