Not knowing exactly where to go to get help I am taking the liberty to ask my question here hoping that some good hearted soul might help me. The device manufacturer support is not willing to help with this type of question.

Our bootloader include a timeout timer that will make the device return to application mode after a pre-defined amount of time with inactivity (2 min by default). However, that will only work if there is a valid application exists on the device. The app may, for instance, have been erased as a part of a single banked DFU (process illustrated). In such cases, the bootloader will have no choice but to stay in DFU mode, and the user will have to complete the DFU process in order to recover the device.

Does the vendor of this device provide a way for you to perform an over-the-air DFU? This is likely the only way you will be able to recover the device.
