&lt;p&gt;I assume you want the device to sleep for longer than 20ms at a time here. The PPI is independent of the CPU, and will not wake up the CPU by default. This event, however, can be connected to a PPI channel and configured to generate an interrupt if you want it to wake the CPU. Please check out &lt;a href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.nordic.infocenter.nrf52832.ps.v1.1%2Fperipheral_interface.html&amp;amp;anchor=concept_twz_bpz_vr"&gt;the Peripheral interface chapter&lt;/a&gt; in the product specification for reference.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
