Hi,

I haven't tested it on a Raspberry Pi myself, but I see no reason why it shouldn't work. The requirements for the nRF Sniffer for Zigbee states that you need a PC running a Linux-based operating system, Windows, or MacOS, so if you run Raspbian/Raspberry Pi OS or another Linux-based OS you should be able to get it to work, as long as you've installed Wireshark and the other software requirements.

I'm having a difficulty capturing a sniffer trace since it seems to happen at random either when we aren't logging.

Do you know if nRF52840 zigbee sniffer dongle can be run on a Raspberry Pi for long term network traces?

It seems like the Trust Center forces the sensor to leave so I'm not sure what the rejoin flag is set to. Is there a way I can check?

Hi Darren,

When the devices leave the network, are they doing that with REJOIN=1?

It would be helpful to know whether the devices delete their network credentials or not.

Are you sure that Trust Center Rejoin is enabled by default. I have some SmartThings sensors that use install codes that don't seem to rejoin after leaving the network. They seem to require the the install code to be used again before allowing a rejoin.

Hi Darren,

Trust Center Rejoin is enabled by default, so set to ZB_TRUE.
You shouldn't need to call this API before the ZBOSS stack is started. Usually there's information in the documentation for the function if you need to do that.

To use this API should it be called before the ZBoss stack is started?

Hi,

The function zb_secur_set_tc_rejoin_enabled() specifies whether Trust Center Rejoin is allowed or not. When it's set to ZB_FALSE, devices attempting insecure rejoin will not be authorized, so it would be the same as Secure Mode ON in the link you attached, while if it's true then insecure rejoin is enabled.
