This limitation used to be a topology limitation by the 4.0 spec, which was lifted with 4.1 and the introduction of scatternets. All current Nordic SoftDevices today are still limited to at most 1 peripheral, but if you know of any use-cases that require multiple peripheral links then we would like to hear about it.</p> <p>Traditionally the peripheral role is used for actuators/sensors and more light-weight battery-driven devices, while the observers or centrals had lighter power requirements and could pick and choose which sensor(s) to connect to and control.</p> <p>The new, production-ready s130 1.0.0 is able to hold 3 central-&gt;peripheral links and 1 peripheral-&gt;central link simultaneously, which allows scatternets to be built.</p><div style="clear:both;"></div>
