Hi,

Sorry, it seems like Philips Hue started with support for BLE in addition to Zigbee in some light bulbs in 2019, so my statement was incorrect.

Have you checked what awneil said about security?

Hi Marte,

Thanks a lot for Your help. But when We used nrf Connect app and connected light with the phone it recognized this light Hue as Ble. Even more we found which characteristic is responsible for change brightness or even turn on, or turn off and using nrf connect app we were able to change settings.

Hi,

Philips Hue doesn't use BLE, but Zigbee. You can use our Zigbee CLI Agent example to connect to Hue lights. To read more about controlling lighting devices with the CLI Agent example, you can check out this link.

Are you sure that Hue lights use BLE ?

If they do, they will hopefully be protected with good security - do you have the correct access ?
