In any case, this ticket can be closed..&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;For anyone searching, the new project may not show up in the pull down menu but you can open it by clicking on ... next to the pull down menu and then select the new project folder.. I would recommend taking a look at&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/nordic/nrf-connect-sdk-guides/b/getting-started/posts/nrf-connect-sdk-tutorial"&gt;the tutorial&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;posted in the case you linked. Part 1, which can be found&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/nordic/nrf-connect-sdk-guides/b/getting-started/posts/nrf-connect-sdk-tutorial---part-1-ncs-v1-4-0"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;,&amp;nbsp;covers how to set up your own sample, which can also be placed outside the nrf folder.&lt;/p&gt;
