If cannot is there any other Bluetooth chip suggestion? My main idea is to use this chip as a beacon and receiver which will be installed into a watch so that

RE: General question on nRF52810

Yes, that should do, the nRF52832/833 are both able to act as central and peripheral.

I don't think this will be feasible with the limited memory on the nRF52811, so the nRF52832 or nRF52833 will likely be the SoC to go for in such an application. As for the application itself, you should be aware that COVID tracing using BLE is not entirely straight-forward as there are some privacy concerns to have in mind, etc. This article, and multiple others like it are easily available online.

As awneil says, please specify what you mean to do with this receiver function. Using an nRF52810 as both receiver and beacon (in the same application code) will likely not be possible due to the limited RAM and Flash memory in the nRF52810. The nRF52810 is best suited for simple peripheral application.

Please check out the nRF52832 SoC, as I think that would be better suited to the application you are describing.

Best regards,

What do you mean by that?

It can certainly act as a BLE Peripheral.

It is a cut-down chip for low-cost, simple applications - so not ideal as a Central (although, I think, it can now be done).
