I don't think there is anything wrong with the bonding, but I'm not sure what is causing this. Maybe the app developer can give some insight on it, but he is away now. I'll ask him when he is back.

Thanks for your time! I am on Android 5.1@Nexus 4. I will test later on this day with one or two another Smartphone(s) Running Android 4.4 or 5.0.1 and edit this comment with the results. Can it also be a problem with the persistent storage of my nRF51-DK? Maybe their is a wrong bonding information saved that causes the trouble? Is there any easy way to check?

Tried it on HTC ONE M8 running Android 5.0.2. Same behaviour as for me.

I tried with your order of actions. The notifications are still continuing on reconnect. I'm using Samsung Galaxy Note 4 with Android 5.0.1. You?

Yes that's the same version I am using. Strange. I tried reinstalling the MCP App and also flashed the original multilink_peripheral_example and hit the delete all bonds button. The problem still persists:

Connect. Bond. Enable Notification. -> Receive Notification Disable Notification. Disconnect.
Connect. Still bonded. Click on enable notification -> Bonding... -> Bonded. Click again on enable notification -> actually receive notifications.

I tried your application, the notifications just continue on reconnect. I don't need to enable notifications. I'm using version 2.1.1 of nRF MCP. Are you using the same version?

This is getting a bit messy, but okey. I'm not sure why it happends, when I try with ble_app_hrs the notifications just continue on reconnect. Could you upload the complete project together with what SDK and SoftDevice version you are using, so I can test it here?
