I am interfacing with an MCP25625 device using SPIM3 on the nRF9160 and I am receiving no response on the MISO line. I have verified the correct functionality of the MCP25625 device using the MSP432 microcontroller, so I know that it is working

RE: No Data on SPIM MISO line nrf9160

The code I linked to show how you can use the nrfx spi driver directy, but it should not be a problem to use the zephyr driver either.

Re-reading the case I dont' think this is a project configuration issue, the miso pin is a pure input pin that should be driven by the slave. I don't see how this should fail no (maybe you can even disconnect the miso pin between the MCP25625 and nRF91 just to confirm that miso pin is not outputting anything here). I assume you have the possibility to compare all 4 spi pins between a working and failing setup. If that show no difference in logic I recommend to check if you are powering the MCP25625 correctly.

Is there a difference between the SPI driver I am using and spi_nrfx_spim? if so, which one is a better driver to use? I have been using the driver seen here: https://developer.nordicsemi.com/nRF_Connect_SDK/doc/latest/zephyr/reference/peripherals/spi.html

I'm not really trying to configure a callback for the spi to operate, and have been following this example here:
https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/f/nordic-q-a/58078/spi-communication-on-thingy-91-board

Thanks for the help.

Sincerely,
