Thanks for you answer

I compared the nRF52840 - preview <-> and nRF52840 board and could see that a 39 Ohm resistor was added in series with D+ and D- channel.

That and in my design d+ and d- was switched around.

Now I get enumerated a USB drive every time the USB cable is connected

Make sure that you have followed the PCB guidelines:

In essence make sure that the schematic, layout, and BOM is followed closely. We can help you with a review, but then you likely want to make a new confidential case to share your design files.

If you are making a dongle then looking at the layout files for the nRF52840 Dongle may be a good starting point for comparsion:

Sorry for the Late reply, I have been busy on other project. But have now purcased a nRF52840-DK without preview on. It seems to work, and im able to enumerate USB Drives on this.

The issue is when im running the exact same software my own board configured with a nRF52840 chip and the D+, D- and USB powerpins and ground are connected directly to the chip I get "Unknow USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)"

I can see that the firmware, detects a USB is connected to the device

Do I need to had HW filters, to get it to work ?

Do you have some HW designnotes ?

I notice it says "Preview DK" in the tags, this kit it not recommend for development, due to various issues including USB. Please make sure you order a new kit if that is the case.
