Thanks. That's correct. Looks like I needed to upgrade my Segger drivers and the nRF tools. Although in the documentation is written that nRF51 DK should work with nRFGo 1.17, that's not correct.

Hi!

Try to update the J-Link firmware. You can do this simply by drag-and-drop this .bin file onto your JLINK drive in bootloader mode and restart the dongle. Also make sure you have the latest J-Link USB drivers (currently V4.98e).

Could you try to install the latest nRF51-Tools and see if that helps?
