Which software - the terminal, or the embedded code?

What happens if you type in more than 20 characters?

The data will be buffered before sending, and the buffer should be sent out either if a newline character is received, or if more than 20 bytes are received.

on the serial terminal it is shown as being sent ( the software has an echo function) but the character isn't seen to appear on the second pc

Normally you have to type enter (some times ctrl + enter) in the terminal for the string to be sent. The newline character is used to decide when to send the incoming data over the NUS service.

yes as far as i know they are connecting as I am using 2 laptops and data is being sent between one another as expected. However, it is only sending the Accelerometer data which is set as default. And if i send a 'T' or 'G' from the client it doesn't send the respective data which means that the character is either not being sent or received however with a mobile phone app this works fine so it has to be from the client side. And i am entering the character T or G from the serial Terminal.

Did you get this working with the unmodified examples before adapting for your sensor?

Are the boards connecting successfully ?

Do you mean it's not sent, or it's not received ?
