 Looking at the schematics for the nRF52833 reference circuitry I see that when USB is used, the VBUS is connected to the C18 capacitor, then GND, and if USB isn&amp;#39;t used, the VBUS and DECUSB are connected directly to GND.

&lt;p&gt;If you are unsure I recommend you follow the reference circuit for USB. Have the footprint for both C19 and C18, and if you find out you are not using USB you can use a 0 ohms resistor instead of C18 and desolder C19.&lt;/p&gt;
